Our Equipment

We can offer competitive rates because we own all our equipment.

Cameras and Tripods

Don't let the small size of our cameras fool you; they all do an excellent job of recording high definition video. From prosumer level Panasonic TM700 and TM900 to professional Canons, we will supply five or more of the right cameras for the job.

Among others, we use Manfroto fluid-head tripods for smooth camera movement.

Audio

We pride ourselves on the quality of the sound in our videos. To that end, we have invested heavily in having the right gear to capture that sound. Among other things, we have:

Lights

Some time ago, we made the decision to consolidate all our lighting into extremely portable LED lights. These are very low energy usage. They run very cool, making them much safer than the older incadenscents. We adjust them for just the right balance for three-point or other mood lighting.

The knowledgeable client may want to know that these lights are approximately 6200K, daylight color. Other color temperatures (i.e., other moods) can be created in post production, of course.

Drones

We have had a Parrot drone for some time, which we consider somewhere between a toy and a professional drone. We are actively exploring the possibly of moving up to thoroughly professional drones. We are, however, waiting for governments to finalize the rules here in Canada and/or clients with a need for drone shots.

That said, our contacts have already filled us in on what's required for licensing and insurance of business drones and where to find help within the present state of things, so the moment there's a demand for drone shooting, we'll be ready to fulfill it in short order.

Portability

All of our equipment can be powered by battery or house current. We tend to use batteries most of the time because it eliminates a lot of wires and their subsequent tripping hazards. Our cameras and lights use extra large rechargeable batteries to give them the stamina for long shoots.
